Hello Legionnaires, I have news for everybody, A few months ago we changed our rules for membership.  All members that are 85 and older will no longer have to pay dues.  All members that have 30 years with the legion and have 5 years with the post will no longer have to pay dues.

 

If you sent us checks for dues, we will use that money as a donation to the post.  DO NOT PAY AGAIN. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE.

 

September is National Disaster Preparedness Month. 

 

Sept. 2nd is V-J Day, so consider asking churches to ring their bells.

 

Patriot Day is Sept.11.

 

Celebrate the Anniversary of Congress charter of the American Legion on Sept. 16.

 

Sept.17 is Constitution Day.

 

Provide schools with Let’s be right on flag etiquette.

 

The third Friday of the month is National POW/MIA recognition Day.

Obtain ad materials for Veterans Day.

 

Membership is going well. If you have not paid your dues, please do so.

Our picnic will be in September at the post. Let Bob and Cliff know if you are attending.
